AI credits are used when Visu.Haus Cloud AI creates a new visu or rewrites part of an existing one. They pay for the model work that turns your request into functioning code, controls, and project structure.
Changing a value in the controls panel, arranging overlays, applying effects, editing the Timeline, saving a project, or opening a .visu does not use AI credits.
Understand the cost of an action#
A new Cloud AI generation uses 10 credits. An AI update to an existing visu uses 5 credits. The product shows the relevant cost before a chargeable action.
Use a normal control when you only need a different value. Use an AI update when the underlying behavior, code, controls, or asset logic must change. This keeps revisions faster and avoids spending credits on work the Editor can already do directly.
Know what your plan includes#
- Free has no recurring monthly Cloud AI credits.
- Starter includes 100 Cloud AI credits each month.
- Pro includes 280 Cloud AI credits each month.
- Max includes 700 Cloud AI credits each month.
Included monthly credits refresh with the subscription cycle and do not accumulate across cycles. Extra credit packs can be purchased when you need more; purchased credits remain available until they are used.
Read your balance#
Your balance can contain a one-time signup grant, monthly plan credits, and purchased credits. Visu.Haus manages those balances automatically and shows the amount available before generation.
If there are not enough credits for the selected action, the generation does not begin. Buy an extra pack, wait for the next plan refresh, upgrade when appropriate, or use a connected MCP workflow.
Understand failed generations#
Credits are charged for the AI action, not for a broken final file. When a generation fails before producing a valid result, Visu.Haus can return the charged credits automatically. Read the message shown after the request and confirm the balance before retrying.
Do not immediately repeat the same request several times. Simplify the prompt or fix the missing asset, connection, or unsupported requirement first.
MCP does not use Cloud AI credits#
When you create through MCP, the connected AI assistant generates the visu and Visu.Haus validates and saves it. This does not consume Visu.Haus Cloud AI credits.
Your Visu.Haus plan and technical or storage limits still apply. The connected AI provider can also have its own subscription, usage limits, token costs, or rate limits. MCP moves the AI work to that provider; it does not make the provider's usage unlimited.

Report an unexpected charge#
Record the project name, account email, date and time, action, requested variant count, completed variants, displayed message, and balance before and after. Do not send passwords, payment-card details, provider keys, bearer tokens, or session data to support.
