A different starting point#
Most creative tools begin by asking you to learn how the tool works. Visu.Haus begins by asking what you want to make.
Compared with After Effects and Cavalry#
After Effects is built for detailed motion design, compositing, visual effects, and frame-by-frame control. It is a better choice when a project requires precise post-production, character animation, complex timelines, or integration with a larger video workflow.
Cavalry is built for professional, procedural 2D animation. It offers deep control through layers, attributes, timelines, behaviors, and interconnected systems. That depth is its strength, but using it well requires learning its procedural model and understanding how to construct those systems yourself. Cavalry is a better choice when you want that level of manual control and are prepared to invest time in mastering it.
More than code from an LLM#
General-purpose LLM tools can write creative code, but generating the code is only the beginning. You still need to choose libraries, organize files, manage dependencies, run the project, fix errors, create an interface, expose parameters, handle media, and build the systems required for saving and exporting. Much of that setup needs to be recreated for every new project.
Visu.Haus already provides the interface and runtime around the visual tool. Live preview, controls, media handling, effects, animation, saving, and exporting are part of the environment. The AI can focus on creating the visual system instead of rebuilding the application around it every time.
Its AI models are instructed specifically to create interactive, generative visual tools. They are guided to produce systems that are visually aligned with your direction, technically functional, and meaningful beyond a single output. The goal is not simply to produce code that runs, but to create a tool you can understand, control, and continue working with.
The difference is not simply that Visu.Haus uses AI. It is what the AI is asked to create: not a final image, not a rendered video, and not a block of code for you to manage. It creates a reusable visual tool inside an environment that is ready to use.
Built independently for designers#
Visu.Haus is an independent project created by Lucas Luz. It is not part of a large corporation or broader software ecosystem, giving it the freedom to grow with care and stay close to its creative community.
At its heart, Visu.Haus is about making creative coding more playful and approachable. It exists to support designers and artists as they explore motion, interaction, and live visual systems, with plenty of room for curiosity, experimentation, and fun.
Designed to fit your workflow#
Visu.Haus does not need to replace the rest of your creative tools. It gives you a faster way to reach a working visual system, which you can use on its own or bring into the rest of your workflow.
